Description
just beside the A'Famosa Fort in Malacca, Malaysia.
Many tourists come to revisit history here at the A'Famosa Fort, also known as the Portuguese Fort. One of them was this innocent looking boy who didnt want to go back home with his parents. After a bit of hesitation, he finally decided to do so, walking past me wondering where does the pure childish innocence gets lost over time as we grow up.
guess I was a bit melancholic too! I would blame the place as it was overwhelmingly giving out the vibes which make you walk down memory lane.
Anyways, about A'Famosa Fort:
The hallmark of Malacca and perhaps the most photographed subject next to the Stadhuys. Built by the Portuguese in 1511 as a fortress it sustained severe structural damage during the Dutch Invasion. The British East India Company had set to destroy it but timely intervention by Sir Stamford Raffles in 1808 saved what remains of A'Famosa today.
